The Celtics lost their first of the season last night to the Suns 110-103. The story of the game was that the Suns went 13-24 from 3 point land and the Celtics were just 4-18. The Celtics were slow to rotate to the ball leaving the Suns a number of open 3 point attempts. Steve Nash ran the show handing out 12 assists and Jason Richardson poured in 34 points going 6-7 from beyond the arc. For the Celtics KG had his biggest night of the season scoring 26 points and grabbing 8 rebounds. All 5 starters for Boston were in double digits. The Celtics made a run toward the end of the game getting within 4 points with 1 minute left, but ill-advised 3 pointers instead of taking the ball to the hoop played them out of the game. With 50 seconds left Steve Nash hit a huge 3 putting the game out of reach. Without Shaq the Suns have gone back to the style of play that had them winning between 50-60 games every year. Now the Celtics can only go 81-1, I was hoping for that undefeated season. lol. Tonight the Celtics are back at it in New Jersey at 7:30.
